  7.         While writing a QWK utility, I found that there was no
  8.         one place where all the necessary info on the QWK format
  9.         was available.  Thru messages in several network echo
  10.         conferences (Thanks to Tim Farley, Mark Goodwin, Randy
  11.         Blackmond, Mark Herring, Patrick Lee, Greg Hewgill, and
  12.         others), I gradually collected the information enclosed
  13.         in this archive.

  15.         To save others the time collecting this information, I've
  16.         put together this set of files by editing the information
  17.         from the various sources so that it is conveniently
  18.         available.

  20.         Tim Farley is working on a more rigorous specification and
  21.         I'm sure all of us would appreciate any help you can give
  22.         him in this.   If you find any errors or additional
  23.         information, I'd also appreciate hearing about it so that
  24.         I can further update this set of files.

  26.         I am working on an Object-Oriented set of TurboPascal routines
  27.         that I hope to release to make working with QWK/REP files
  28.         easier.

  30.         Note that this packet of information does not document net-status.
  31.         QWK packets that are marked as having net-status may be imported
  32.         by one of the NET utils (QNet, RNet, MKNet, etc) into a Bbs.
  33.         Because normal users of a QWK door should not be able to hack a
  34.         packet to give it net-status (and import it into their system),
  35.         that info has been left out of this set of documents.  You may
  36.         contact me (or one of the other QWK authors) directly for this
  37.         info.
